Went to NYC over the weekend to shoot a 4 episode arc of The Temp Life (click to see my character's video resume). It was a total blast to play a gigantic douchebag wearing a tuxedo and a headband. I got to catch a pretty fun show while out in NYC called "Told" it's a storyteller type show featuring some standup comics and improvisors but not really focused on trying to garner laughs from the audience. It was simply about these performers telling a riveting story for about 15 minutes on a topic (the topic I saw was on Fighting), and it ranged from a hilariously traumatic story about reading your boyfriends diary and finding out he slept with pretty much every girl he came in contact with to a tragic yet hopeful story about an MMA fighter overcoming testicular cancer. So if you're looking to be tickled and moved in an intimate setting in NYC and to check out something a little bit different, check out Told. Oh and it was "pay what you will" so you can drop em a fiver or if you're broke, go in for free sans guilt (they're pretty chill there). So that's always nice.
In other news, effinfunny comedian Fahim Anwar is going to guest star on Chuck in two weeks. Watch it, I'm telling you that dude is going to be somebody (I suppose that implies that he's a nobody at the moment, which is untrue, he's just going to be more of a somebody than he already is very soon).
Lastly be sure to keep up the donations to the red cross for relief in Haiti. Sure, they made a pact with the devil but really contract law is very complicated and you always get screwed in your first deal. In all seriousness, they need our continued help and it's as easy as texting "Haiti" to 90999 and $10 gets charged to your cell phone bill. A mere $10 goes a long way, which is probably equivalent to 45 seconds of overage time. You can do it!
That's all I got for now. Hopefully a big Legend of Neil announcement coming soon.
Love,
Sandeep
