about me: Chip Pope is an accomplished comedian-actor-writer who also enjoys pancakes. He was one of the stars and writers for MTVs Austin Stories, a television show that was acclaimed by the New York Times, USA Today, and TV Guide; although a dude who writes reviews for the Orlando Sentinel didnt much like it. Chip has performed stand-up on NBCs Late Friday and Comedy Centrals Premium Blend, which his parents didnt watch. Hes appeared in the films Clockstoppers and Simone, opposite Al Pacino, a lauded actor whose breath actually smells fine. He was cut out of the Jim Carrey movie Man On The Moon. Snippety-Snip. Chips written, produced, and starred in TV pilots for HBO, ABC, FOX, Comedy Central, and NBC (who recently killed their 8PM programming. Yay!) He will record a split CD with comedian and raconteur Howard Kremer. It will be released sometime in the future. Assuming there is one. He most recently wrapped a stint as a panelist on VH-1s SuperSecret Movie Rules. You didnt see it. He appeared in a pilot this fall for the G4 network, which someone must watch. (The network, not the pilot.) He also performs as legendary British 80s new waver R.O. Manse. www.myspace.com/romanse He lives in Los Angeles, where theres gold in them thar hills. |

bot's thoughts
fearless, high energy and crazy, chip is someone who i hope to see more of at the live shows. he was maybe a bit too quick to self depricate when the audience didn't immediately respond. i just think they needed a second to breathe. |
