Fahim Anwar |
|
about me: Fahim Anwar started his standup career in Seattle shortly after graduating high school. His parents were instrumental in molding his future beyond this point. Threatening to drop kick him if he didnt go to college, Fahim attended the University of Washington where he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Seconds after tossing his mortarboard, he landed a job in SoCal and has since been electrifying audiences in various coffee shops, sushi restaurants, and dive bars. When asked about Fahim, Karma Coffee regular Marcus Vasquez replied, I just came for a scone. Fahim is currently contemplating opening his own room at the Radio Shack on La Brea. Theyve already got the sound system. Although the show is only in its infancy, it is already booked until 2012. People want to laugh when they buy batteries says Mr. Anwar. They just want to laugh |

bot's thoughts
fahim artfully and energetically takes on charged issues like race and terrorism from a unique perspective (he’s afghani) often resulting in a pleasant mix of shock and hilarity. great stuff. |

Fahim - you're great...you got that "x-factor" and I predict you'll be going places outside of Freemont... good timing, smart relevant writing, keep doing what you're doing!

fahim has now been the show opener for us twice. comics generally dislike opening shows because the crowd isn't "warmed up." well, all you comics need to take a page out of fahim's book because he completely rocked the crowd both times. we may just have him open for us everytime he does one of our shows. what better way to start a show than with a blast of afghani awesomeness?

Fahim is a rising star - one of my favorites. Great timing, sharp delivery and bits that are right on the edge. His '6th pillar of islam' is especially clever as is 'college rivalries' and 'job interview jig'. Actually, Fahim's just consistently effinfunny!
